I am a doctor who writes. But I don’t write only about health. This is truly where my heart sits: in the writing side of me.
I’m fond of certain topics that go beyond, topics that reach the deepest fibres of all as I have found in my life experience. Mostly taboo topics, such as life and death, sexuality, depression, anxiety, growing old, pain, happiness, suffering, fear, marriage and divorce, just to mention a few.
Taboos: everything that we fear and struggle to communicate and that truly takes our (mental/physical/emotional) health away in the end.
Because of the nature of these topics, I used to believe I had to keep my medical and creative writing work separate form each other, until it became too exhausting and confusing.
Not anymore. I’ve decided to make this one single, honest, open and free home for all that I think and want to share with the world, because I believe it’s way too important to ignore or to leave unsaid or unshared.
I’m writing the books I have been waiting long to write, as much as bringing my blog back to life. The first book is on the way – wait for it! January 2019 on Amazon (more on it soon).
As for now, this writing section will grow through the blog as I start finally spreading my brains out here, as freely and openly as I have never been.
Writers and people I admire and aspire me to follow their lead as I leave my own legacy in the world?
Maria Popova – from BrainPickings
I’m a dreamy fish and writing is my way to understand and feel the world around me. My life experience has brought me to interesting thoughts so far and I’m sharing it all, bits by bits, word by word.
Hope you can find power, wisdom, strentgh or hope in any of my words. My purpose is to write words that heal, words as medication.
And if you like what you read, please feel free to share. You might help someone in important ways.
Thank you for being here!
